4 questionsWhat is Smart Design Inspector?
A Chrome extension for studying any website: its fonts, its colors, its CSS and its SEO. It saves each website as a card and compares several of them in a table.
Do I need an account?
No. You install it from the Chrome Web Store and it just works. Pro is activated with a key, also without an account.
What languages is it available in?
Spanish, English, Catalan, Portuguese, French, German, Italian and Chinese.
Which browsers and operating systems does it work on?
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera and Vivaldi, on Windows, Mac and Linux, from version 1.0. It works the same everywhere because the browser runs the extension, not the operating system. The code is ready to be brought to Firefox and Safari without a rewrite. While it’s in development, things may change.
Privacy and permissions
3 questionsWhat data does it collect?
None from the pages you visit. Everything is processed in your browser and your cards are stored there.
Why does it ask for permissions?
To read the page you are inspecting. Permissions are requested per module, and only when you use it.
Does it inject ads into websites?
No. No ads, no donation requests, no sponsored tabs.

Can I copy a website’s CSS to Tailwind?
Yes, a whole section as JSX + Tailwind (a Pro feature). Convert a website to Tailwind
Does it give keyword volumes or backlinks?
No. That data comes from paid databases such as Semrush or Ahrefs.
Does it tell you what technology a website is built with?
No. It focuses on design and SEO.
Does it replace WhatFont or ColorZilla?
It does what they do (fonts and colors) in a single extension, and adds CSS, SEO and comparison. If you want to edit the page live, as in VisBug, it can’t do that yet.

The free version costs nothing, forever. Pro is €49 once, with 12 months of updates. Pricing
What is early access?
Until the Pro launch (date TBD), three Pro features are free for everyone. On that date they move to Pro.
Can I use what I copy from another website in my own projects?
Style (colors, sizes, spacing) is not protected. Text, images, logos and commercial fonts are. Take inspiration from the design and use your own content.
